VANDERKAMP CENTER

Vanderkamp Conference Center is both a camping facility and a retreat center.  It provides a Christian outdoor ministry, exists to encourage commitment to Jesus Christ, and builds Biblical discipleship through relationship-focused, fun-oriented, and Christ-centered programs.  The staff helps supporting churches fulfill their purposes of evangelism, faith formation, Christian growth, and service through camps, retreats, and conferences. 
 
Operated by the Ecumenical Camp Association, a cooperative ministry of the Presbytery of Cayuga-Syracuse, the Presbytery of Utica, and the Upstate New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Vanderkamp welcomes campers and groups of all faiths to participate in programs and use the variety of accommodations.  These include: primitive camping sites, cabins, Adirondack-style lodges and small homes with kitchens, a recreation building, large cafeteria, and the Fireside Conference and Fellowship Room.  Most buildings are handicapped accessible.  In the summer, lifeguards are available at the beach to supervise swimming, canoeing and boating.  In the winter, cross-country ski equipment is available to rent.
