Director position opening for Northminster Nursery School

In January, Northminster Nursery School began accepting applications to fill the position of Director.  Although the Director position will not open up until June 2009, the Nursery School committee is planning an assimilation period for the new director.  During this period the new director will become familiar with the Nursery School and the Director's responsibilities.  For more information about Northminster Nursery School, the Director position, and to obtain an application, please contact the church office (458-0393) or the Nursery School (458-2669).

Minister of Music at Jamesville Community Church
Organizes and leads the ministry of music for a growing, intergenerational church of Presbyterian and United Methodist heritage.  Should be comfortable with both traditional and contemporary sacred music, and proficient on the keyboard and organ.  Approximately 8 hours per week.  $110 or more per week depending on experience and qualifications of applicant.

Vanderkamp is looking for seasonal staff to join the summer ministry team for 2008.

Program staff, waterfront staff (including lifeguards), support staff (kitchen and maintenance), and most importantly, counselors who love working with children and youth, are needed.

Advocacy Ministries Coordinator

Eligibility Requirements:
1.Active membership in a  Christian Church (a denomination participating in the Formula of Agreement or Churches Uniting in Christ)
2.A demonstrated ability to educate, motivate, and organize at the grassroots level.

Position Title:Coordinator of Advocacy Ministries  (for five  Presbyteries of the PCUSA in central New York state)

Purpose:To publicize and communicate advocacy issues in central New York within the Fab 5 Presbytery Partnership Group (PPG); to coordinate and facilitate advocacy projects as directed by the  PPG's Advocacy Group; to educate, motivate and coordinate advocacy concerns of the Fab 5 PPG at the regional (Northeast), national and global levels.

The successful candidate will have skills in communication, networking, organization, and education.  He or she will have a commitment to social justice and some familiarity with the polity and practice of the Presbyterian Church USA.


TERM:     This position is a 60 hour a month contract, at $20 an hour, for an annual stipend of $14,400.  The contract may be renewed annually up to three years, up on the recommendation of the supervising Presbytery and the Steering Committee, and vote of the PPG.

Volunteer Village Management Coordinator

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Disaster Response program of the  Presbyterian Church, USA, is seeking a Volunteer Village Management Coordinator to oversee the operation of 6-12 villages that are the staging area and living quarters for faith based volunteer work teams participating in the long-term recovery efforts in the Gulf Coast and Florida.  Previous experience with work teams, organizing and supervising the operation of disaster response in a primitive camping environment required.  Knowledge of the disaster recovery process and the involvement of faith based organizations preferred.  Knowledge of the PCUSA also preferred.  Must have college education, good human relations skills and ability to be flexible.  Good supervision skills essential.   Moderate travel.  Management experience in hospitality industry will be an asset.

Interim Camp Director

The Presbytery of Geneva is currently seeking an Interim Camp Director for Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake to begin as soon as possible.  This position is a year-round position, at 20-hour per week for most of the year and with full-time responsibilities during the eight-week summer program.  The Camp Whitman Director oversees the development of program and the implementation of operations at Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake.  The Camp Director directly supervises the leadership team including the Property Manager, Program Manager and Developmental Disabilities Camp Coordinator.  The Camp Director reports directly to the Executive Presbyter.  Persons applying for the position should hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and be at least 25 years of age.  A deep personal faith in Jesus Christ, an active, evolving spiritual life, strong communication skills and an ability to work collegially are all characteristics which will be sought in applicants for this position.  Those interested in applying should send a letter to Rev.
